The purpose of all orders of government in Canada is to circulate money from individuals to the greater society, for the good of the majority. LRT is a perfect example of the need to spend public money to provide a way to improve our daily lives, our health, and the future economic health of Hamilton.

As a journalist I have followed this story for more than 30 years...just like the Linc and Red Hill Expressway which finally got built but costing umpteen million more dollars.
The system in Newcastle Australia, where I recently visited, my husband’s home town, was built in 18 months. We have to start somewhere when it comes to moving this city forward .
