No More LRT Delays

On May 13, 2021, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities and Caroline Mulroney, Ontario Minister of Transportation announced that both governments have signed a deal to invest $3.4 billion in the shovel-ready Hamilton Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.

It's two years later, and Metrolinx, the provincial crown agency tasked with completing the project, has not even started the process of selecting a company to do the work.

No more excuses, no more delays.

Mayor Andrea Horwath and City Council need to start putting pressure on the Province to make building Hamilton LRT a real priority. And the public needs to make their voices heard once again.
