Richard Gilbert on Transport Futures

Come out to the FRWY on Thursday, January 10 for a lecture and panel discussion on aviation and light rail, featuring Richard Gilbert.

Hamiltonians for Progressive Development are hosting a lecture and panel discussion on Thursday, January 10 at 7:30 PM with Richard Gilbert on the theme, "Transportation Futures: Aviation and Light Rail for Hamilton and Elsewhere". The seminar will be held at the FRWY Cafe, 333 King St. E. (at Wellington).

Gilbert is the author of a new book titled Transport Revolutions: Moving People and Freight without Oil, and wrote an influential 2006 report for Hamilton City Council called Hamilton: The Electric City, in which he argued that the city should make energy conservation and production its economic development Plan A.

Nicole McIntyre from the Hamilton Spectator will moderate the seminar and the panel includes Scott Stewart (General Manager, Hamilton Public Works Department), Nicholas Kevlahan (Hamilton Light Rail), and Lynda Lukasic (Director, Environment Hamilton).
