I live in Ward 9 and believe that building LRT is the best way to move our city forward. The economic potential of LRT is extraordinary, and when combined with zoning and property tax changes, will create an amazing opportunity to build our city.

Based on public comments from our Mayor, he is not clearly communicating council's or our citizens' strong desire to build an LRT system here in Hamilton. LRT will be a benefit to everyone, including even those who don't live/work downtown Hamilton like myself.

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
