Statement by Nathan DeJong
Hamilton is the largest census metropolitan area in Ontario without a rail transit system. It is a fast-growing city with an up and coming arts and culture scene. Any modern urban centre, particularly one transitioning into post-industrialism needs an effective transit system in order to grow and prosper. An LRT line and continued improvements to the transit system will pay off, as Hamilton develops into an economic and cultural centre.
