Statement by Kristen Boulard

I am greatly disappointed in the cancelling of the LRT. Many local planning intensified developments were approved given the assurances of the government that LRT was definitively coming to Hamilton. This leaves our community to deal with the impacts of transit oriented development without the appropriate level of transit.

So not only has this impacted business with cancelled contracts, residents who have to shoulder the boat of the project spent so far and the blight of boarded up housing that has laid derelict for too long to be of value, we get to deal with traffic and parking issues.

I sincerely hope this decision is re-evaluated.
