Please please fix the mistake you made of prematurely and incorrectly cancelling the LRT project in Hamilton! This project is revitalizing and essential for Hamilton, and years in the making. How can you justify pursuing similar projects in the GTA, yet outright cancelling ours? It is so close to the bidding stage, with proposed bidders perplexed by the supposed cost estimates Ms. Mulroney discussed (but will not produce - hmmm).
The only sensible and proper thing for you to do is quickly announce the reversal of the outright cancellation and allow the bidding process, at a minimum, to proceed. The bids will be the true cost estimates, and proper decisions can be made then. Adjustments and requests for additional funding then have an opportunity to be made to allow the project to go ahead.
We all know there is something shady behind this abrupt cancellation. It is so suspect, it's impossible to ignore the stink emanating from it. Whatever it is, and before you allow it to cause further damage to your reputation, FIX IT now and give us a chance to succeed with this project!!
An editorial letter writer from Toronto even said this project should proceed in preference to some of those you are continuing in Toronto.
Get with it, Get to it, and Fix this mistake now!
