Statement by Megan Preece
Once again the Ford government has failed to see the benefits investments TODAY can do for the future of a city and for the population of that city. Once again the Ford government has targeted Hamilton. In canceling the LRT and deliberately fudging the numbers to justify their decision, the Ford government has once again shown that they are not "For the People" of Ontario but rather "For the people who voted BLUE."
The LRT would have improved so many lives and helped move Hamilton forward. Modernizing a city, especially transport, is never going to be a cheap endeavor but by god is it ever a crucial one.
