This city has long been at the back of the line when it comes to innovative and forward-thinking solutions to problems average citizens experience. Whether they realize it or not, ALL Hamiltonians truly need LRT to be installed here, for Hamilton to evolve and grow into a major metropolitan city, instead of a mere adjunct to Toronto.

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
