Statement by Keegan Lodder
The proposed LRT represented a huge opportunity for community growth as well as a substantial step towards better infrastructure for a struggling downtown core in Hamilton—this city has always been held back by poor, or less than optimal, infrastructure and transit development is the obvious next step for unlocking the massive potential of Hamilton. The idea of this development has already changed the shape of our downtown core, bringing investors and businesses into our city who would otherwise not be interested and driving the real estate market crazy over the past 3 years. Hamilton will remain right where it is unless drastic steps towards development are taken—the proposed LRT project fits the bill and will be worth every penny.
