The Ford Government in Ontario is totally incoherent except in its political partisanship. It promised to continue support for LRT in Hamilton and, based on these statements, developers have pored 100's of millions of dollars into developments along the route of the LRT.
The traffic along King and Main streets in Hamilton is a major pedestrian hazard. The pollution from thousands of autos continues to increase.
Ford recently criticized Hamilton for electing NDP MPPs. Then, shortly after that statement he sends his flunky, Mulroney, to Hamilton to cancel the LRT. Then they continue to maintain the incoherent statement that the $1 Billion is still available to Hamilton when about $160 million of that $1B. has already been spent to acquire properties along the route. These properties are now boarded up creating the opposite effect of the urban rejuvenation that the LRT had foretold.
