Statement by Gavin Lewis
The withdrawal of funding for the LRT is a callous mistake on behalf of the province. Cost overruns, especially in a government who is vehemently against overspending is understandable, yet this contradicts with the 148~ million dollars already spent on pre-construction! As a younger resident of the city, I would stand to benefit incredibly from rapid transit.
My generation will benefit profusely from this project, and pulling the plug will prove near-catastrophic for the development of the city.
