Statement by Mary-Jane McKitterick
I moved to Hamilton because of the LRT. It held the promise of a vibrant city with a future in green, publicly funded transportation. Rather than a badly planned bedroom community stuck in the last century. I'm devastated that it has been canceled and in such an underhanded way. I am a tax payer and LRT is what I want my tax dollars to do!
Its a critical part of a planned, inclusive city that reduces greenhouse gases, creates jobs, promotes small business and brings people together.
