Please reinstate LRT funding to address Hamilton’s
core transportation needs. Cancelling this much needed initiative will impede development and job growth and leave a lasting impediment to our city’s future.
Please do the right thing and reverse the short sighted and erroneous decision to cancel this initiative. Leave a positive legacy. Leaves us the LRT.

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.

In a resounding 11-3 vote, Hamilton City Council voted today to approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Metrolinx to build the Hamilton LRT.
