Millions of dollars spent on studies and planning should make this a no brainer, game changer for Hamilton. But the befuddling mayor is beyond comprehension when he is consistently telling untruths and purports to know more than the experts, and studies.

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
