As this city grows, we're going to need additional traffic alleviation... it only makes sense. As the 10th largest city with the 2nd most land area (tons of room to grow) in Canada, it's only a matter of time before we'll need it. Why not start now?
Clearly the city wants it, it was promised, now pull the trigger already!

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
