Hamilton is on the rise, and SO MANY of the people who are moving here, investing their lives in and shaping our city desire an option for non-car transit. We don't need to get rid of cars, but we need to bring a balance to our streets, and one that will allow us to move into the future as a progressive, healthy, diverse city!

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
