This is a an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity for the City of Hamilton! The Federal and Provincial governments have got together to offer Hamilton even more than we've been asking for: full funding of capital and lifecycle costs for the full 14 km line!

And there will be a huge net financial benefit to the city, with new tax revenue from an influx of development, increased fare and paid-for vital infrastructure upgrades. And the operating cost will be not much more than the current Main-King buses, and less per passenger.

And the timing couldn't be better: 7000 thousand jobs and a huge $3.4B boost to the economy just when we need a post-pandemic recovery.
