Infrastructure, affordable housing, economic growth of our city, that is why we need the LRT and the backing of both the Federal and the Provincial governments. Is our city going to sit and decay or are we going to invest to become a first class city in which to raise a family.

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
