Statement by Sterling Holmes
I am a longterm Hamiltonian at 18 years. Always lived right in the core in Durand and Corktown. Love the city, hate the small buses! I don't drive so transit is my lifeblood and I am an expert at what would work for dedicated transit users. Especially those of a certain age! We need the LRT for more comfortable, accessible and spacious travel. People who do not rely on cars understand what brings people and thus money into a locale. It's great pedestrian communities. LRT will ensure Hamilton flourishes instead of languishing in the current veiled suppression of sustainable development. Just do it. Or forever be the politicians too dim to accept billions of dollars in transit funding.
