Statement by Dermot Nolan
Please don’t backtrack or dither on the LRT project. Trust your first instincts which were to approve the LRT unanimously and invest and expropriate in preparation for it, which you have boldly done in the spirit of the Ambition City. It will be a game changer for our city.
Remember what Shakespeare wrote in Julius Caesar:
“There Is a tide in the affairs of men
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.

And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures,”
