Statement by Richard Gelder
We need to get on with building light rail transit in Hamilton.
This is a generational opportunity to enhance transit in the busiest corridor of the city and to avail ourselves of needed cash to address long-neglected infrastructure needs. Further, we need smart development and LRT has been shown to promote dense development that expands the city’s tax base.
