It is time for Hamilton city council to reaffirm its commitment to a fully provincially funded LRT line. It is time to fully commit to the process and get the work underway. Stop pitting our city against itself! Do the work you have been entrusted to do, and do it with civility and professionalism.

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
