Light Rail Transit is crucial for the future of Hamilton and our downtown revitalization. There may be some pain to get there Hamilton, yet it will be so worth it in the end. Let's keep our young people living, working and shopping in the downtown core while providing them ways to efficiently get around! 100% support from me for LRT!!

Cities with Hamilton's size and growth need appropriate public transit options. Other medium sized cities in Ontario are all planning or have built an LRT system (London, Ottawa, Waterloo, etc). Real estate will only get more expensive to acquire in the future, so building this now is the only thing that makes sense. I realize Hamilton votes NDP, but I hope the Ford government does the mature thing and invests in much needed infrastructure regardless.

In a resounding 11-3 vote, Hamilton City Council voted today to approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Metrolinx to build the Hamilton LRT.
