I urge you to bring Hamilton into the 21st century. There is so much potential to be a climate leader, bring in prosperity and share it with all of our residents. The LRT is not the sole solution but it is a key pillar. A cleaner, connected city that includes the lower city will support sustainable growth.

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
