I have great hope for the city of Hamilton. As do the people I live with and know in our downtown neighbourhoods. This hope needs to be tied in with actions. The LRT is a positive step towards transforming Hamilton into the great city it can be.

As a journalist I have followed this story for more than 30 years...just like the Linc and Red Hill Expressway which finally got built but costing umpteen million more dollars.
The system in Newcastle Australia, where I recently visited, my husband’s home town, was built in 18 months. We have to start somewhere when it comes to moving this city forward .
