LRT would bring Hamilton on par with other modern Canadian cities- Toronto, Kitchener, Calgary,Edmonton for example. The LRT would provide a necessary east west transit option. If the project is not completed now it will only become increasingly expensive.
LRT will attract forward thinking and entrepreneurial initiatives. It will breathe new hope and life into a tired lower city. The aesthetic component of LRT immediately conjures images of progressive thought and modernity.
