The City's LRT plan has $3.4 billion in federal & provincial funding. Show your support for the plan.

Please just build the LRT. Building for density, better tax revenue, energy efficiency and disaster resiliency is simply keeping pace with the world. We seriously risk falling behind decades economically. Again. We are like the underdog superstar of Canadian Real-Estate right now. We could be the Portland, OR of Ontario.

I think this issue is a sign of our civic low self-esteem. We can be world class. We are in many respects and need to embrace change not recoil. Hamilton RESPECT YOURSELF!

I completely support the new Hamilton LRT plan and urge Hamilton City Council to endorse it with the overwhelming majority vote it deserves. I am pleased to see the unwavering support of all the city's anchor institutions. The benefits will accrue to our environment and to all the residents of the City of Hamilton, not just downtown residents. I hope Hamilton will live up to its aspiration as an ambitious city by seizing this one-time opportunity.
