It is time for Hamilton to move into the future, to care for our environment and residents by reducing car traffic, and to make our urban core a vibrant, convenient, and desirable place to live and visit. LRT will be a huge boost to the vibrancy of our city, let's just get this done.

As a journalist I have followed this story for more than 30 years...just like the Linc and Red Hill Expressway which finally got built but costing umpteen million more dollars.
The system in Newcastle Australia, where I recently visited, my husband’s home town, was built in 18 months. We have to start somewhere when it comes to moving this city forward .

In a resounding 11-3 vote, Hamilton City Council voted today to approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Metrolinx to build the Hamilton LRT.
