Statement by Lee Edward McIlmoyle

I suspect I've already signed this, but just in case, here goes:

Please, City of Hamilton Councillors, please accept the billion dollar Metrolinx LRT plan. History shows us that we've failed this test several times in the past sixty years, and it will be years or perhaps even decades before we can start again, when we finally do recognize the need is upon us.

I truly believe that Hamilton needs to update its transit system to better accommodate the myriad changes coming. I know that there are many in Hamilton that remain confused or even determined not to hear reason at this point, but the facts have been presented time and again. We ask that you have the vision and te courage of your previous convictions that Hamilton needs to step forward and make LRT a reality.
