It is time we start believing that Hamilton can be a world class city. In the past we have built highways essentially to help people get out of the city. We are now going to increase GO Transit to help people get out of the city. Maybe we should think about transit that keeps people living and working in the city of Hamilton.

As a journalist I have followed this story for more than 30 years...just like the Linc and Red Hill Expressway which finally got built but costing umpteen million more dollars.
The system in Newcastle Australia, where I recently visited, my husband’s home town, was built in 18 months. We have to start somewhere when it comes to moving this city forward .
