Statement by Juan Bonilla
I'm a suburban father of three -Ward 14. Both my wife and I work and drive to and from work every day. I am not happy about my taxes, but I understand where they go and why I have to pay them.
I WHOLEHEARTEDLY SUPPORT THE LRT project. I've seen other oppportunities for this city to develop and revitalize its core come and go, and I strongly hope we don't let this opportunity get squandered.
LRT is GOOD for the CITY, it is GOOD for all of us, urban and suburban. Candidates who are trying to make it a political stepping stone (looking straight at you Mr. Sgro) will NOT get my vote.
I might disagree with a few of Mr. Eisenberger's politics, more specifically the rainbow crossings imposed on us and paid for with our taxes, but because of the LRT issue, I am voting for Mayor Fred to be re-elected.
